About

Zuljana is truly one of the few unspoilt places left on earth. A haven of peace and beauty nestled away in a picturesque bay on the Southern Croatian peninsula Peljesac.

Extensive pine wood forests reaching straight to the sea, gentle mountains and vineyards surround this little village of approximately 300 inhabitants. The Locals are mostly occupied with fishing, wine growing, and olive oil production.

Our house is overlooking the bay from the tranquillity of the pine woods, however the sea is only a 5 minute walk away.

All the apartments have their own terrace with a superb sea view.

What makes this small village one of the most idyllic and unique places on the Adriatic Coast is that the bay is turned to the west, so we can enjoy every sunset to the full, watching the great red sun sinking slowly into the sea.

Zuljana has numerous sandy and pebbly beaches especially convenient for families because they are shallow and clean.

It is the perfect place for fishing, sailing, surfing and snorkelling. Crystal clear sea, shipwrecks and coral reefs make diving in this area a special experience. There are three local diving clubs that offer diving tuition, hire out equipment and arrange dives.

Equally if you like hiking, you can enjoy hours of walking in unspoilt countryside, indulge in the fragrances of wild herbs and experience the breathtaking views from St. Ivan with its peak of 490 m.

The local shop and market stalls sell everything you'll need, including organic fruit and vegetables, olive oil, honey and wines, all of which are locally produced. There are four restaurants, a pizzeria and a cafe.

In the village you can also find an ambulance, a post office where you can exchange money and a tourist office, where you can get more specific information, and arrange excursions.

The medieval and historical town of Dubrovnik, "The pearl of the Adriatic" is just an hour's drive away. On the way there you pass the Arboretum Trsteno, a 500 year old botanical garden.

The National Park on the island of Mljet is a 40 minute sail on the local boat from Zuljana and the beautiful island of Korcula is an hour away.

We can arrange transfers from and to Dubrovnik airport.
